Solar Columns

G&S Industries' Solar Columns are popular in remote locations , on jetties , in country locations and tourist areas where mains power is not available or may not be practical. They are also suited to temporary installations such as building or construction sites for temporary security lighting or communications.

G&S Industries can manufacture Solar Columns to suit our clients' specific requirements.

The columns are normally manufactured as Fixed or Mid Hinged Tapered Octagonal Columns incorporating brackets for solar panel mounting and a secure vandal proof battery compartment at the base of the column. They can also be manufactured in a wide variety of designs from Decorative Architectural Columns to CHS and SHS Pipe Columns.

Solar panels can be mounted at the top of the column or at the base of the column as shown. You can view a working Solar Camera Column at our Osborne Park premises.

Due to the sail area of the solar panels , our Solar Columns are usually manufactured in a heavy duty design , making them ideally suited for operating under heavy wind loads and in cyclonic regions.

Columns are designed as baseplate mounted. Standard column heights range from 4 to 8 metres upwards and can be individually designed to suit client requirements incorporating lighting , communications and other operating equipment.

Solar Columns are supplied galvanized and can be painted or powder coated in a variety of colours. (Please see the "Specifications" section for a link to Powder Coating Colour Charts).

Columns are supplied ex works from Osborne Park or can be delivered throughout Australia and overseas. If required , we can organise the installation of foundations , column assembly and erection. (Please see our "Project Services" section for a complete range of our services).
