G&S Industries individually design , manufacture and supply Communication Columns for any communication requirement.
At G&S , we manufacture to our clients' specific designs , catering for everything from Yagi Antennas , Ground Plane Antennas , Collinear Antennas , Gridpaks , Dipole Arrays , Side Mount Dipoles , Coaxial Dipoles , Corner Reflector Antennas and Microwave Dishes. All columns are individually designed to Australian Standards to ensure that the lateral linear deflection and torsional rotation of the column is limited. Consequently the rotation of the axes of unidirectional transmitting or receiving equipment from their principal directions will not exceed half of the beam width or the client's specified parameters.
These columns are designed and manufactured as Tapered Octagonal , Dodecagonal or Hexadecagonal. Columns can be manufactured as Fixed or Mid-Hinged. Mid Hinged designs allow easy access for maintenance of the communication equipment. All columns can be manufactured to incorporate solar modules , lightning arrestor protection , earthing requirements and to mount controlling equipment in compartments at the base of the column.
G&S have supplied many Communication Columns in Central Business Districts , on numerous mine sites throughout Australia and various other locations.
All columns can be supplied complete with equipment attachments and brackets to suit client specific requirements. Special bracket attachments in single or multiple arrangements can be manufactured to suit all types of equipment. To enable fine tuning of the equipment , both on a horizontal or vertical plane and for mounting at any height along the column , G&S produce fully adjustable clamp on bracket / arm arrangements. Removable doors can also be provided along the column for cable fastening , access and inspection. These doors have a slot which is specifically designed to suit the applicable cable bending radius. This ensures that the cables are not damaged or kinked. Earthing holes or studs can be located adjacent to each door for the provision of earthing each individual antenna.
At the top of the column a special Spigot is usually attached. This Spigot comes complete with an access door , slot opening and catenary cabling hook for supporting the weight of the cabling. (Please see the "Column Accessories" section for further details).
Communication Columns are supplied galvanized and can be painted or powder coated in a variety of colours if required. (Please see the "Specifications" section for a link to Powder Coating Colour Charts).
Columns can be supplied ex works from Osborne Park or delivered throughout Australia and overseas. If required , we can organise the installation of foundations , column assembly and column erection. (Please see our "Project Services" section for a complete range of our services).
